Qualifying Players for Finals

To qualify to play in a final a player must have played at least half of the roster matches played by the team contesting the final. In the event of "qualified" players being unable to play a replacement player can be drawn from a nominated list of replacements which has been forwarded to the Roster Secretary once finalists have been determined. This list to be on the pro-forma sheet designed for this purpose. Replacement players are not to be of a higher standard than the competition they are entering.
Anomalies in the list of of replacement players will be forwarded to the S. SATIS Chairperson.

Matches shall be played under the rules of the Tasmanian Hockey Association except as herein stated.
  
1. Three rounds shall be scheduled in conjunction with the Hockey South School Div 1 roster prior to the State SATIS final.
  
2a.  Point score

The point score will be

Win = 5
Draw = 3
Loss = 1
Washout = 3
Forfeit = 5.

Match Ratio will be used to determine ladder positions.
Match Ratio = points scored divided by matches played

2b. In the event that teams are tied on points, goal difference will be used to determine ladder position

3a. If at the conclusion of the roster two schools finish on equal points, a play-off will be held to determine the winner.

3b. The competing schools shall arrange the venue and the time for such a play-off.

3c. Should a result not be obtained at the end of normal time in a play-off, extra time of six (6) minutes each way ‘golden goal’ is to be played. Nine (9) players shall take the field for the first six minutes; 7-players for the second six minutes. If the match is still tied at the end of extra time the game will be decided on penalty strokes.

4. The number of players that may be interchanged during a game is five (5).

5. A copy of the scorebook/teamsheet is to be forwarded to the SSATIS Roster Secretary by the Tuesday following the game.

6. When opposing schools’ team colours are similar, the first named team on the roster should change their shirt and socks.

7. In all sports 1st and 2nd rosters, except where seeding occurs, once a player has played more than half the roster, in the 1sts, he cannot return to the 2nds team. This includes entering the field of play at any stage in the game.
